*Sorry for the mediocre iPhone quality photo. I asked my sister to snap a pic and Wyatt came running across the yard to photo bomb. It was too cute a moment not to share!
How far along? 27 weeks today
Maternity clothes? Living in them! I have to say I am one to fully embrace the stretchy clothes, especially while chasing a bunch of toddlers! Fall is my favorite season to dress so I am having a blast styling this little basketball in sweaters, leggings, skinny jeans, blanket scarves, lots of layers, and boots. My favorite jeans are GAP Maternity Demi Panel Jeans which go below the belly.
Stretch marks? No new ones this time around! Not sure if it is because I have been slathering on the cocoa butter or because my skin has already been there done that.
Sleep: I have to admit the last few weeks were brutal. I was a VERY grumpy overtired version of myself and it was NOT PRETTY. I hate the thought of taking medications when I am pregnant but I also know that when mama ain’t good, no one is good. I have taken Unisom as needed this past week and I feel like a new person. I am finally sleeping soundly, no more weird dreams, and wake up feeling alive.
Best moment this week? Last night while laying in bed I felt a HUGE jab and was able to get it on video which was exciting.
Miss Anything? Wine & champagne.
Movement? TONS, especially after my shower before bed. Wyatt loves to lay on my belly and feel his brother kick.
Currently craving? No specific cravings but I am ravenous at times.
Sickness? Nothing for about 10 weeks now. I only feel a litte weird if my sugar drops under 90 (I have to keep track as I have gestational diabetes again.)
Gender: Boy number 2!
Signs of labor? Not yet thankfully. This past week I had 2 or 3 breath-catching Braxton Hicks contractions so I chugged some water.
Symptoms? My back has been sore but I think it is because my posture is horrendous right now between the belly and the boobs. Foam roller = best friend. If I get overtired I get MAYYYYJOR RLS. My feet are also pretty puffed up at night but not as bad as it was with Wyatt. My gums are super sensitive and swollen but I refuse to stop flossing. I have had some inner ear stuffiness but luckily no nose bleeds this time around (yet!) The wood stove is roaring at night so that might change.
Innie or Outtie? Definitely on its way out.
Wedding rings on or off? Wedding band and engagement ring are still on but my favorite David Yurman right hand ring has been retired. I feel so naked.
Feelings? I have kept it very much together this pregnancy – until the last few days. I ugly cried when my blog crashed over the weekend, and ugly cried again when the amazing Bluehost and Pretty Darn Cute Designs team saved me. I cried when Wyatt wanted to give his baby cousin 87 kisses. Who am I?
Excited for? Nervous about? I cannot wait for Wyatt to meet “brother.” He spends hours everyday lifting up my shirt and laying on my belly, patting, giving it kisses, blowing raspberries, pointing, and hugging. HOURS. I am really stressed about leaving Wyatt overnight for the first time ever when I deliver. It makes my heart hurt but I know he will be in good hands. I feel like we should practice if mommy can cut the cord.
